Paddy Pimblett and Ilia Topuria still have bad blood in 2025.
Pimblett and Topuria began their feud after the pair came to blows at the UFC’s London event in 2022.
Having been embroiled in a back-and-forth since that date, Pimblett is now putting more pressure on ‘El Matador’ to finally settle their differences in the cage.
In June, ‘The Baddy’ stormed the Octagon after Topuria flattened Charles Oliveira in the first round of their fight to become the new UFC lightweight champion.
Pimblett certainly made his intentions clear, as he pleaded for a chance to settle the score with Topuria in a clash of their own.
He has since made various threats in the hopes of getting a reaction from ‘El Matador’, including stating he can’t wait to “bully” him in a potential bout.
Their latest exchange came his week as the bitter rivals caught sight of each other ahead of the official weigh-ins for UFC Qatar.
Topuria and Pimblett are both in Doha to support fighters on the undercard of the event, which is headlined by Arman Tsarukyan and Dan Hooker.
Naturally, fears from both teams suggested there could well be a physical altercation, but the pair have been kept apart.
And this remained the tactic when the pair crossed paths from a distance at the fight week event, where they were limited to just verbal barbs.
What’s up bro?” Topuria called out.
Pimblett said: “What’s happening? You alright?”
Ever since Pimblett bounced a bottle of hand sanitiser off of Topuria’s head, the rivals have only thrown insults at each otherGettyTopuria didn’t stop to engage in conversation with Pimblett, but called him a “p***y” as he entered the building.
“Come on chorizo, calm down,” the Liverpudlian responded.
Their interaction surprisingly ended there, but their paths are likely to cross again over the course of the promotion’s event this weekend.
Will Paddy Pimblett and Ilia Topuria ever fight each other?
After three years of hostility, a fight between Pimblett and Topuria seems to be the only way to bring an end to their spiteful exchanges.
Both men are touted for an appearance in the Octagon in early 2026, but official fight news has yet to come from UFC CEO Dana White.
The next time we see Topuria, it is likely to be on the UFC’s first numbered card since signing the $7.7 billion broadcast deal with Paramount and CBS.
