THIS building may look like any other abandoned shop – but it once featured in one of the most iconic gangster movies of all time.
The graffiti-covered store front is located just yards from one of London‘s most popular tourists hotspots.
Almost 30 years ago, this decaying exterior appeared in the brilliant Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels.
Situated on the edge of Borough Market in central London, it is located next to the gang’s hideout in Guy Ritchie‘s 1998 film.
Bacon, played by Jason Statham, and Tom, played by Jason Flemyng, join the gang as they return to the building on Park Street.
The group also consists of Eddy, played by Nick Moran, and Soap, played by Dexter Fletcher.
Before the scene, the protagonists have spoken with big-time gangster ‘Hatchet’ Harry Lonsdale – played by the late PH Moriarty.
The gang inform him they have raised the £100,000 entry fee to participate in a high-stakes card game.
Park Street appears on screen as they return to their hideout, before listening in on a rival gang who are dealing drugs next door.
A popular movie location, Park Street also features in hits such as Bridget Jones’s Baby and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
The buildings are now covered in graffiti and have disappeared into everyday life in the bustling capital.
On the brickwork, one piece of the graffiti jokes: “This is not a photo opportunity”.
Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels was made for less than £1million, but took more than £20million at the box office.
It follows the story of a man and his friends who lose a poker game to a gangster and create a plan to pay him back.
The iconic crime comedy made Guy Ritchie and Jason Statham household names.
Jason is now Hollywood’s highest earning Brit, after he pulled in a whopping £32million in 2023.
Former footballer Vinnie Jones also made his acting debut in the film, playing Big Chris – an enforcer for Hatchet Harry.
The hardman rose to fame for his aggressive style of play – and temper – both on and off the pitch.
Nick Moran went on to star in countless films and TV shows, including Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows parts one and two.
Jason Flemyng starred in Snatch, alongside Brad Pitt, and went on to appear in Layer Cake, Kick Ass and X-Men: First Class.
Meanwhile, Dexter Fletcher appeared in Steven Spielberg’s Band of Brother’s and ended up directing the Elton John biopic Rocketman.
Earlier this year, tributes flooded in for P.H. Moriarty, who tragically died at the age of 86.
