Cameron Norrie v Carlos Alcaraz odds boosts (talkSPORT BET):

Carlos Alcaraz to win the first set 6-3 – (was 9/2) NOW 5/1 Carlos Alcaraz to lose the first set and win the match – (was 11/2) NOW 13/2 Cameron Norrie to win the match – (was 9/1) NOW 10/1 Cameron Norrie to win in straight sets – (was 33/1) NOW 40/1

Two-time defending Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz will be looking to add to his 22-match winning streak this afternoon as he bids for a third consecutive title at SW19.

The Spaniard hasn’t had it easy on his run to the last eight, needing five sets to get through his first round match against 38-year-old Italian veteran Fabio Fognini, before beating British qualifier Oliver Tarvet in straight sets in round two.

The 22-year-old five-time Slam champion dropped a set in each of his following two matches to reach the quarter final stage, but came through his victories against Jan-Lennard Struff and Andrey Rublev unscathed.

British number two Cameron Norrie is into the quarter final of a Grand Slam for just the second time in his career, having previously reached the last four at these same Championships back in 2022.

The 29-year-old, like his opponent today, has dropped four sets on his way to the last eight as he bids to match his best career performance in a Grand Slam with victory against the tournament favourite this afternoon.

The Brit, currently world number 61 but has been ranked as high as eight in the world, kicked off his tournament with a four-set win over Roberto Bautista Agut, before knocking out 12th seed Frances Tiafoe in four in his biggest scalp of the Championships so far.

Norrie then made light work of Mattia Bellucci, winning in straight sets, before going the distance with a five-set win over Chilean qualifier Nicolas Jarry in round four to book his place in his second quarter final at SW19.

Alcaraz leads the head-to-head between the two players 4-2, but Norrie has won two of the last three meetings, including the most recent in the final of the 2023 Rio Open, though the two have never before met on grass, and haven’t met in a Slam since their first meeting back in the 2021 US Open, which the Spaniard won 3-0.
