Virgil van Dijk has been approached by Saudi dealmakers on behalf of Al-Hilal regarding a move, talkSPORT understands.
The defender has not responded or engaged at all with his full focus on concluding contract discussions with Liverpool and preparing for Sunday’s League Cup Final against Newcastle.
The Dutch defender is approaching the end of his contract at Anfield and so far, is yet to agree a deal to extend his stay.
Van Dijk has made 310 appearances for the Reds since arriving from Southampton for £80million.
The 33-year-old was spotted speaking to PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and sporting director Luis Campos in the Anfield tunnel following Liverpool’s Champions League exit on Tuesday.
However, sources have played down the chat and insist they were not talking about his future.
Liverpool are optimistic they will reach an agreement with the Netherlands international.
