Batelco, Bahrain’s leading telecommunications services operator, has announced that work on its solar park development at Ras Abu Jarjoor, next to the company’s Satellite Earth Station and RJR Data Centre, is progressing at a steady pace and is on track for completion in October 2021. In a statement, Batelco said that senior management from its Network and Corporate Communications divisions made a site visit to view progress of the park. Construction work began in February 2021, and once completed, the solar energy generated by the park will be used to power the RJR Data Centre.
