9/11 Remembrance Ceremony hosted by the American Legion Post 57 ...United Arab Emirates

On Saturday morning, September 11, 2021, the American Legion Post 57 hosted a remembrance ceremony to remember 9/11 and those who served. The ceremony took place on the lawn of the Historic Smith County Courthouse. Post 57 Commander, Jon Henry, made opening remarks and introduced several guest speakers. Among the guest speakers was former New York City police officer, John Bierra. Bierra served in New York City on September 11, 2001 and the months following the attacks on the World Trade Centers. Presently, John Bierra is an officer at the Carthage City Police Department. Other special guest speakers included Joe Stout, Jeff Mason, and Sarah Marie Smith.  Watch the full ceremon
