According to a report by the Oman News Agency, the 27-km road aims to ease traffic in a high traffic zone falling between the Governorate of Muscat and other governorates of the Sultanate. The road begins at Rusayl-Nizwa junction along Muscat Expressway and ends at the A’Sharqiyah Expressway’s junction in the Wilayat of Bidbid, the report added.
