84.52% of construction of the Fourth Phase of the H-Station power plant in Al Aweer has been completed the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has announced. The phase will add 829MW to the plant and is being undertaken at a cost of $300m. According to a statement from DEWA, the project is being implemented by a consortium comprising Siemens Energy and Elsewedy Power. It is expected to be operational by Q2 of 2022. Once complete, the upgrade will increase the station’s total capacity to 2,825MW under climate conditions of up to 50 degrees Celsius. The scope of work includes supply, installation, testing and commissioning of three Siemens gas turbines with a total capacity of 829MW.
