A Doha criminal court has sentenced an expatriate to five years in jail and imposed a fine of QR200,000 on him for illicit drugs possession, local Arabic daily Arrayah has reported. The man was arrested while receiving a cargo sent to him by air mail from an African company that contained around 6.4gm of amphetamine, the Arrayah report said. Accordingly, the court convicted the man and sentenced him, besides ordering his deportation upon serving the sentence and confiscation of the seized material.
