Moscow, SANA-Russian Foreign Ministry announced that Deputy Foreign Minister, Sergei Vershinin, discussed with Sonja Hyland, Political Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs, the situation in Syria and the issue of humanitarian aid. The Ministry indicated in a statement on Monday that the Russian side stressed during a phone call the need to adhere to the principles of humanitarian aid stipulated in the United Nations relevant resolutions, as well as respect for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Syria.
