By Chris Hicks, County Director – UT Extension Smith County The Smith County Cattlemen’s Association went with a back-to-back format for their Annual Meeting and Open Beef Show this year, hosting the Annual Meeting on Friday night, May 7, and the Open Beef Show the next day.    At the Annual Meeting, over 100 Smith County beef producers enjoyed a meal sponsored by Smith Farmers Co-Op and heard updates from the local and state Cattlemen’s Associations, UT Extension, and NRCS.   One of the highlights of the Annual Meeting each year is the presentation of the Producer of the Year award. This year’s winner was Barry Smith with BHS Angus Farm. Mr. Smith is an Angus seedstock produce
