Brazil’s top health regulator has voted to approve the Sputnik V immunization developed by Russia after a delay which Moscow blasted as “political.” Conditions were placed on the delivery and the use of the vaccine, however. After a marathon seven-hour meeting on Friday, the health body, ANVISA, voted 4-1 to greenlight Sputnik V as well as India’s Covaxin immunization, allowing for imports after previously delaying approval.
