Egypt’s Minister of Transport Kamel al-Wazir on Monday said that construction of bus rapid transit (BRT) lanes on the Ring Road is officially underway. During his inspection tour of the Ring Road, Wazir added that the ministry will incorporate Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) into the Ring Road, making it the first road in Egypt to use this system.
