Doha Toastmasters Club (DTC), the first toastmasters club in Qatar to achieve the meeting no 550 milestone, marked the event in the presence of international leaders including Richard Peck, president of Toastmasters International; Sunil Kottarathil, Region 11 advisor; and Sonny Varghese, first Region 11 advisor. The club started in September 1996 but it was chartered on January 1, 1997.
