Patna: The Bihar government has dismissed a top health official for declaring dead a COVID-19 patient still alive, and handing over another person’s body to his kin without allowing them to have a last glimpse of the body. Chunnu Kumar, 40, a resident of Barh sub-division in Patna district, was admitted to the state-run Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) on Friday after he suffered brain haemorrhage. He was soon moved to the COVID-19 ward of the hospital after he tested positive for coronavirus.
