Four inmates of the Mendocino County Jail were transported to Adventist Health Ukiah Valley Monday after three of them began suffering symptoms of opioid overdose, the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office reported. According to the MCSO, jail staff were alerted to a female inmate suffering a possible seizure around 7:40 p.m. in one of the jail’s female housing units. After an initial assessment by jail medical staff, an ambulance was summoned to the jail to transport the woman to the hospital for further care.
