On March 24 at about 1:50 a.m., Mendocino County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to the 75000 block of Highway 162 in Covelo. They were told there was a physical fight between a man and a woman at the location. Upon their arrival, they were told the man, identified as Oscar Martinez, 21, of Covelo, had left before Deputies got there. The Deputies talked with several people at the location and were told a woman and Martinez had been in a relationship and had a child in common.
