ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Kids in Irondequoit and Rochester enjoyed trunk or treating on Thursday.
The events happened at Bishop Kearney High School on King’s Highway in Irondequoit and at Adams Street R-Center in Rochester.
Irondequoit:
Kids dressed up and collected treats, and they also got to roast marshmallows as part of the festivities. Organizers said this was an event they had wanted to do for a while.
“They really have put together this phenomenal event, made sure everyone was safe and everybody has fun, and we’re excited to open this up to the community and for everybody to learn about Bishop Kearney and share the fall joy!” Caitlyn Stoffle said.
Rochester:
Mayor Malik Evans attended the event and shared safety tips for those planning to go door-to-door this weekend.
“Flashlights, reflective vests, those are very very important things to make sure you are wearing as you are out trick or treating,” Evans said.
“Just be safe and look out for one another this Halloween season,” Evans said.
