Radio Times spoke to O’Brien, who plays half-elf Vax’ildan in both the Critical Role live play and in The Legend of Vox Machina, about the status of the new season. While he couldn’t give us an update on when season 5 is coming, he assured us that it starts and finishes strong.

We pride ourselves on putting every colour of life into this show… There is a very tragic thread to the story of Vox Machina, but there is so much joy and love and fun and hijinks along the way, and we want all that."
