Posting Info and Exciting Graphics, Intentional Talk No More, Brewers Trades, and Other Cubs Bullets ...Middle East

It was a while ago at this point, but we’re in Spooky Season, so I’ll mention: finally saw ‘Obsession’ and ‘Backrooms,’ and I totally get why each was something of a breakout. Solidly-made, entertaining and engaging horror. I think the hype cycle probably didn’t do either any favors for folks who waited so long to see them like I did, but I’d still recommend them to anyone who (1) hasn’t seen yet, and (2) is looking for that kind of flick this time of year.

I still remember when this same style of graphic dropped for Seiya Suzuki:

The Phillies are one of the seven teams listed by Sports Hochi as teams with interest in Teruaki Sato. He is mentioned as a right field option for the Phillies. t.co/h3tfKB68OV

— Phillies Tailgate (@PhilsTailgate) October 20, 2026 A lot of us were obsessing about all things Suzuki, and then boom, a graphic drops in a Japanese newspaper and there were the Cubs. It was so exciting. I can’t read the words, but that’s a Cubs logo! That is definitely a Cubs logo! It just feels like, in the VERY early stages of these postings, the best info is going to come out of Japan. No Cubs this time, which isn’t necessarily a big shock on Teruaki Sato. The pitching needs are just so much more pronounced that I think most of the speculation will stay away from the Cubs, and I also tend to think the pursuit won’t be there at the top of the market. Which is to say, when this kind of graphic drops in a Japanese newspaper on righty Kaima Taira, I better see that Cubs logo! Intentional Talk is no more:

— MLB Network PR (@MLBNetworkPR) October 19, 2026 The show was generally not my preferred vehicle for consuming baseball content, but I know a lot of folks did like it (or at least liked various segments). This is all just part of the modern media transition, though, and hopefully new and different creators continue to fill the space and move the sport forward. I’m rarely interested in passing on an opportunity to take a shot at the Brewers, but this feels like a stretch:

Much less talked about… The Brewers traded Peralta for what’s now a very disappointing prospect return ahead of a win-now season and he will face them in the World Series when they themselves could really use one more reliable starting pitcher in their rotation

— James Schiano (@James_Schiano) October 20, 2026 Has the Brewers’ return for Freddy Peralta been underwhelming? Yes. But that’s the model, and it’s far more about future seasons than the current one when they make these deals. When they make the trade, they already know they are potentially dinging the current season, so using that as the predicate for criticizing a trade doesn’t make a lot of sense to me just because the guy they traded happened to salvage his season AFTER he was traded to a third team. Speaking of Brewers trades, it’s interesting to hear the owner’s perspective on the other type of trade, where they know they have to be more careful:

Brewers owner Mark Attanasio talks here about what went down in Skubal trade talks, why Crew came up short (“This team was built, not bought”) and how worried he was during NLCS YouTube: t.co/EhvCFLN0CU Apple: t.co/SftQwb6jEu Spotify: t.co/Ur244TOMCi t.co/IUS5qc9z7G

— Jon Heyman (@JonHeyman) October 20, 2026 As a Cubs fan, I was always conflicted about the Brewers and Tarik Skubal, because it’s not like I want to see them win it all and the Cubs were still in it at that time. But obviously we do love to see the Brewers lose future value – when that value could otherwise be hurting the Cubs – and since the Brewers made it to the World Series anyway … dang. Wish they’d landed Skubal for a huge haul. Attanasio doesn’t QUITE confirm explicitly, but pretty much suggests in there that the reports about Logan Henderson (i.e., that he was the key piece the Tigers wanted from the Brewers and they were unwilling to include him) were in the ballpark of accurate. If so, the Brewers very obviously did the right thing. Henderson is 24, is controllable through 2031, and was an absolute stud this year. Sure, we know that guys can get hurt or fall off or whatever, but he tentatively looks like one of the best young pitchers in the league already. (Fourth round pick in 2021 out of a small juco, by the way. Man, that’s the stuff that makes me the MOST jealous of the Brewers …. ) If you love the Cubs and know a lot about promotional events and production, here’s a job for you:
