For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.
High school senior Angelina Lista from Sarasota, Florida, has announced her verbal pledge to the University of Missouri beginning next fall. A year ago, she had committed to LSU. Lista confirmed to SwimSwam:
“I’m so excited to announce my commitment to swim and study at the University of Missouri! I’d like to thank my family, my amazing teammates, Coach Chris, and especially Coach Ira, who stood beside me through my diagnosis and some of my hardest moments, believed in me when I needed it most, and helped me find my way back to the sport I love so much. A huge thank you to Coach Sans, Coach Grevers, and the entire Mizzou coaching staff for this incredible opportunity! I’m so excited to be part of this team and swim alongside such amazing teammates. I can’t wait for what’s next! MIZ #Mizzou”
Lista has scored points for Riverview High School at the Florida High School Class 4A State Championships in each of her first 3 years of high school swimming. She has been an ‘A’ finalist in the 50 free and 100 fly three times, and she has swum legs on the 200 medley (fly) and 200 free relays.
