To commemorate Kenan Stadium’s centennial season, 97.9 The Hill is inviting community members to share their favorite Kenan memories from the past 100 years. This twice-weekly series will showcase stories from players and fans throughout the fall.
Rick Steinbacher, UNC’s senior associate athletic director for facilities, has a lot on his plate whenever the Tar Heels play at Kenan Stadium. When there’s a special pregame ceremony, that adds even more responsibility. But one night, one of those ceremonies went awry. Afterward, head coach Butch Davis made sure to let Steinbacher know about it.
