Hello Kitty fans, get ready to make a trip to Burger King! The fast-food chain is teaming up with the beloved Sanrio characters for a limited-time kids’ meal that comes with six adorable collectible toys—and one could come with an extra-special surprise.
Starting Oct. 20, Burger King’s new Hello Kitty and Friends King Jr. Meal will feature mystery blind boxes containing characters like Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll and Keroppi, each wearing a signature Burger King crown and some holding fan-favorite BK items. But lucky customers who discover a rare golden Hello Kitty toy could score the entire six-piece collection.
Each of the Hello Kitty-themed King Jr. meals comes with a choice of four or six chicken nuggets, a hamburger, or a cheeseburger, plus fries or applesauce and a drink. Packaged in a Hello Kitty bag and served with an exclusive Hello Kitty BK crown while supplies last, the meal will be available at all participating Burger King restaurants.
And, the brand is hosting a one-day Golden Claw Machine event on Oct. 23 at the Burger King located at 10014 Paramount Blvd. in Downey, Calif. Starting at 11 a.m. PT that day, fans that purchase a King Jr. Meal can test their luck at the claw machine for the chance to grab a Hello Kitty toy. Inside the machine will also be a single, 14K gold-plated Hello Kitty figurine which could be won by one lucky guest.

“We’re excited to deliver another fun and engaging King Jr. Meal—this time with the one and only Hello Kitty!” said Joel Yashinsky, chief marketing officer at Burger King US&C. “To celebrate our partnership, a limited number of golden Hello Kitty toys will be included in our six-toy lineup.
