A judge has ordered Anson Williams to pay his ex-wife over $40,000 for unpaid divorce obligations, per TMZ.
The 77-year-old actor, best known for portraying Warren “Potsie” Weber on the 1974 sitcom Happy Days, must pay his ex-wife, Jackie Williams, by 5 p.m. on November 2.
Court documents obtained by TMZ found that Anson owes her $40,181.04, with an additional $7,500 to be paid to her attorney, bringing the total to almost $48,000.
The judge ordered the payments after finding nearly $18,000 in unpaid life insurance premiums, almost $17,000 in unauthorized use of company funds, and $2,000 in payments he gave himself.
In addition to cash, the judge ordered the actor to transfer 160,214 American Express rewards points to Jackie.
Anson failed to show up for the October 1 hearing or file a response to his ex-wife’s claims, per TMZ.
Jackie took him back to court in August, alleging that he didn’t make payments agreed upon under their divorce agreement. She also claimed he ignored her when she tried to contact him to receive the money.
The couple married in 1988 and divorced more than 30 years later in 2020. Williams later married writer and real estate broker Sharon MaHarry in May 2023.
