ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A 12-year-old girl is recovering after a concrete mixer truck hit her at the corner of Hudson Avenue and Upper Falls Boulevard on Friday morning.
Rochester Police say the truck driver remained at the scene, and officers didn’t issue any tickets. Officers and medical crews responded just before 7 a.m. and found the girl with a lower-body injury.
Police say the truck was making a left turn onto Hudson Avenue, and the truck’s side hit the girl as she was crossing the road. An ambulance took her to the hospital, and police say she is expected to survive.
RPD says drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the crash.
