Selma Blair is expected to face state and federal charges following a series of alleged assaults during and after a flight from Los Angeles to New York.
According to TMZ, the actress was arrested on Sunday, Oct. 11, following an incident aboard a Delta Air Lines flight bound for John F. Kennedy International Airport.
While on board the flight, Blair allegedly punched one flight attendant, bit another, and attempted to open the plane’s door while it was in the air.
Blair was reportedly placed in restraints before being taken into custody after the plane landed. While being transported to a hospital by ambulance, Blair repeatedly kicked a police officer in the head, per law enforcement sources who spoke to the outlet.
Upon arriving at the hospital, she allegedly assaulted a nurse, who has pressed charges.

According to People, Blair is facing two assault charges in New York related to the alleged incidents involving the police officer and the nurse. She is also expected to face federal charges stemming from the alleged assaults aboard the plane.
A law enforcement source told the publication that the FBI issued Blair a summons for alleged assaults within the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the United States.
Blair is expected to be arraigned for the two assault charges on Monday, Oct. 12, in Queens Criminal Court and is expected to face her federal charges in petty violations court in Brooklyn on a later date, according to a source who spoke to People.
In a statement to People, a representative for the actress said, “Selma experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged conduct. Upon landing, she received immediate medical attention and is currently in stable condition.”
Delta, for their part, said in a statement to TMZ that the airline has a “zero tolerance for unruly or unlawful behavior, as the safety of our customers and crew always comes first.”
