The latest cold open of the UK’s Saturday Night Live featured a contentious meeting within the royal family that was quickly crashed by disgraced former Prince Andrew, played by cast member George Fouracres.
“Didn’t you hear the good news?” Andrew told the royal family. “The search warrants were unlawful! That means it doesn’t count.”
SNL‘s Andrew was referring to the recent London court ruling that admitted major legal errors were made in the police’s searching of Andrew’s Mountbatten-Windsor residence. As SNL‘s Queen Camilla (Emma Sidi) pointed out, however, Andrew is still under investigation for his ties to infamous sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
Andrew dismissed that fact. “Oh who among us can honestly say they aren’t under police investigation?” he said.

King Charles (played by Larry Dean) attempted to put his foot down with his troublesome younger brother.
“You’re arrogant, you’re entitled, you represent an outdated institution founded on centuries of war, tax evasion and slavery, and that’s all great,” said Charles. “But you’ve also been accused of terrible things and that’s where I draw the line.”
The real King Charles removed Andrew’s official titles last year, declaring in October that Andrew would “now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.” Charles has still faced accusations, however, of going easy on his brother and of having protected him from further consequences, especially in light of the recent news that he’d paid $2 million to cover the cost of the ex-Prince’s departure from his Windsor estate.
SNL UK leaned into that criticism, with King Charles softening up towards his brother at the end of the cold open.
“Oh, very well Andrew, we can have one drink together,” said Charles, “And then that’s it. Except for the million pounds I’ll give you for the rest of your life.”
