SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — Families looking for healthcare information and community support will have an opportunity to connect directly with local providers this weekend.
Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinics is hosting its first Health and Wellness Fair on Saturday, October 10, at Franklin Elementary School.
More than 20 community organizations are expected to participate, offering information about medical services, education, nutrition and family assistance.
Visitors can learn about dental care, acupuncture and chiropractic services. A registered dietitian will also lead a cooking demonstration featuring healthy food samples.
The gathering will include music, Aztec dancers, children’s activities, games and complimentary food.
Participating groups include the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County, CenCal Health, Girls Inc. and several youth and family service organizations.
The free event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1111 East Mason Street in Santa Barbara.
