Who got voted off on Survivor 51 tonight?
Rob Antonson

Airline gate agent Rob Antonson was carrying a lot of baggage going into Episode 3 of Survivor 51. While he had started the game off strong, finding the first idol of the season, things quickly fell apart from there. As exhaustion and exertion rose, Rob wanted to find a way out of the game. And he tried to do so in the most chaotic way possible, concocting a plan to put all the votes on Eric Macksoud, saving him, and voting himself out of the game. When he found out he wasn’t allowed to do that, though, the entire plan went belly up, and he was left out of the vote. Left in the dark, Rob thought long and hard about what to do next, especially as an apparent foot injury was causing mounting pain. While the Survivor doctors found nothing wrong with him to require an immediate medical evacuation, Rob announced he was pulling himself from the game, citing risk of infection. The reaction from his tribe members, however, was far from sympathetic.
Patt Cannaday

When Patt Cannaday walked into her second Tribal Council, the federal prosecutor felt her tribe was being run like the Navy. In the past couple of days, a new five-person alliance had formed. And, with Danny Kilby drawing a target on himself with his s—t-stirring and scheming, they were confident they had the numbers on their side. The tribe’s two newest members in Lewis Kelly and Carter Krull, however, had other plans. As quickly as Toka’s power structure had formed, it had just as quickly fallen apart. Lewis and Carter joined the outsiders in taking down the majority, leaving “Pantsless Patt” exposed on the bottom.
Were any idols or advantages found or played on Survivor 51 tonight?
Yes! The twist on tonight’s episode (see below) each gave the camp visitors an opportunity to get an advantage hidden on the other tribe’s beach. Devin Way was able to almost immediately grab his on Savu. Carter, however, got his bag rifled through while he was away, leading Toka to discover his potential prize. A mad scramble ensued, with players running around and oars being hacked up. In the end, Brady Booker gave the advantage to Maggie Nestor after the latter simply asked for it. Both Devin and Maggie now have an Extra Vote. Additionally, before leaving the game, Rob had given Carter his idol, now putting it in the farmer’s possession.Related: Jeff Probst Reveals How ‘Survivor’s ‘Open Era’ Came to Be: ‘There is No Evolution’ (Exclusive)
The Survivor 51 mutiny twist, explained
Treemail came on Day 6, asking each tribe to send someone to visit the other camp. Savu did a random draw, with Carter being the lucky recipient. On Toka, Devin eagerly stepped up, something the rest of the tribe was happy to let him do. Both men were told that there would be advantages hidden at the other camp (see above). Additionally, if they chose to, they also had the opportunity to mutiny, permanently staying as a member of the other tribe.Devin immediately declared to both Savu and us that he would be going back, between his dominant position on his tribe and the less-than-stellar conditions at the other camp. Carter, however, was considering his options, seeing as he was left out of the vote the night before. It turned out, however, that he wasn’t able to make the choice anyway. As the boat arrived to take him back to Savu, Carter searched in vain for the advantage, not realizing it was taken. By the time he was done, the boat had already left, making him (whether accidental or not) a new member of the yellow tribe. Carter becomes only the third person in Survivor history to mutiny to the other tribe, following Jonathan Penner and Candice Woodcock Cody in Cook Islands 20 years ago.
