ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Lyons Central School District has been awarded the Federal Mental Health Awareness Training grant.
Lyons is one of two school districts in the state to get $200,000 for the first year of this three-year project. Lyons will partner with six other school districts in Wayne County to expand mental health training.
Those districts include Newark, North Rose-Wolcott, Palmyra-Macedon, Red Creek, Sodus, and Williamson.
The project is supported by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
