Smoothie King is getting in on two trends at once with its newest menu item: protein-packed foods and bedazzling just about anything that stands still long enough.
The smoothie chain announced on Oct. 7 that it is launching the Pretty, Pretty Protein Smoothie, a new limited-time drink packing an impressive 47 grams of protein into a 20-ounce serving.
And at select participating locations, customers can get something considerably more sparkly with it. The Pretty, Pretty Protein Smoothie will be served with a free, limited-edition rhinestone-covered 20-ounce cup while supplies last.
The new smoothie features strawberries and bananas and also contains 5 grams of fiber and 0 grams of added sugar.
Smoothie King says the launch was designed to combine consumers’ growing interest in protein with the resurgence of bedazzling, which has seen rhinestones popping up on everything from accessories to everyday objects.
“For more than 50 years, Smoothie King has cared for guests by making nutrition delicious, and now we’re making it pretty, too,” Lori Primavera, Smoothie King’s vice president of R&D and product marketing, said in a statement.

The latest launch continues a particularly protein-heavy year for the chain.
In August, Smoothie King introduced its Slim-N-Trim GLP-1 Pumpkin Smoothie, a seasonal drink developed for customers taking GLP-1 medications as well as anyone looking for a more nutritionally balanced pumpkin option.
That smoothie contains more than 23 grams of protein, 9 grams of fiber and 0 grams of added sugar. It joined the chain’s GLP-1 Support Menu, which Smoothie King originally launched in 2024.
The company’s 2026 pumpkin lineup also leaned heavily into protein, with its Coffee High Protein Pumpkin containing more than 31 grams per serving and Power Meal Pumpkin offering more than 20 grams.
Now the Pretty, Pretty Protein Smoothie takes that strategy considerably further, delivering 47 grams while adding a little rhinestone razzle-dazzle to the equation.
The Pretty, Pretty Protein Smoothie launches Oct. 7 at select participating Smoothie King locations nationwide. Both the drink and the free bedazzled cup are available for a limited time, with the cup offered only while supplies last.
