CHILI, N.Y. — Months after a News10NBC Investigation, Monroe County-owned vacant homes near the Rochester airport are now being demolished.
Crews were seen working on Beahan Road in Chili on the west side of the airport runway Tuesday afternoon. Chief Investigative Reporter Berkeley Brean first exposed the row of rundown homes back in June, which led to a vote to tear down the homes in September.

The county bought the homes for around $335,000 based on an FAA security recommendation. County leaders said the demolitions pose no environmental threat.
