2026 World Aquatics World Cup #1 – Baku

October 1-3, 2026 Baku Aquatic Palace, Baku, Azerbaijan SCM (25 meters) Meet Central Results Psych Sheet How To Watch Finals Recaps: Day 1 | Day 2 Day 3 Finals Start List

We are all set for the third and final day of action at the first stop of the 2026 World Aquatics Swimming World Cup in Baku, with the evening bringing us some potentially electric performances.

The men’s 50m fly saw Russia’s newly minted 100m free World Record holder Egor Kornev snag the top seed, with Singapore’s Teong Tzen Wei, China’s Chen Juner and Aussie Olympic champion Cameron McEvoy all in the mix.

Chen, who nabbed a national record in the 200m fly yesterday, will be pulling double duty tonight, also taking on the men’s 200m freestyle where he claimed the #1 seed.

On-fire Dutch World Record holder Marrit Steenbergen is also expected to appear in two races, earning the top seed in the women’s 100m free and also taking on the 200m IM. As a refresher, events with 10 or fewer entrants go straight to the finals; therefore, there were no heats of the 2IM this morning.

Kiwi Commonwealth Games champion Lewis Clareburt is another racer set to appear in two events. Clareburt is set to compete in the 400m IM against the likes of American Carson Foster and Italian Alberto Razzetti, while also making the 200m free final.

Add in Pieter Coetze of South Africa taking on Russians Kliment Kolesnikov and Pavel Samusenko in the 50m back, along with Roos Vanotterdijk of Belgium headed to the women’s 100m fly final, and tonight is sure to bring the flames as we stay on potential World Record watch.
