MVP Awards
Women’s MVP: Caroline Bricker, Stanford
Bricker kicked off the night in a 1:52.42 200 butterfly to finish three and a half seconds ahead of Cal’s Kelsey Zhang who was 2nd. Bricker’s swim was a strong showing for the beginning of October and is already faster than she was until NCAAs last year.
The Stanford senior swam to another win, touching 1st in the 200 IM with a 1:54.09 to finish over two seconds ahead of Cal’s Mia West. That time was faster than Bricker was all of last season, although she did not swim the event at ACCs or NCAAs.
Her final individual win came in the 200 free as Bricker touched in a 1:44.26.
Men’s MVP: Ryan Erisman, Cal
Erisman began his night with a 4:08.55 500 freestyle. That marked over a two-second lifetime best for the Cal sophomore and moved him up to become the #20 performer all-time in the event. His swim would have been 5th at the 2026 NCAA Championships. Erisman jackpotted in the event and touched over six seconds ahead of 2nd place finisher Keaton Jones, his Cal teammate.
Soon after his win in the 500 free, Erisman swam to another win as he touched in a 1:41.69 in the 200 butterfly for the win. That was a win by almost a second and a half ahead of teammate Casper Puggaard.
Earning his final win of the night, Erisman swam to another lifetime best, this time touching in a 1:32.12. That was over a second drop from his previous lifetime best of a 1:33.28 that he swam in January at Cal’s dual meet against Pacific.
