Theo Carver is going to look a little different next week on the Peacock streaming soap opera Days of Our Lives, as TV Insider has revealed the beloved legacy role is being recast.
According to TV Insider, former General Hospital star Tajh Bellow will be taking on the role of Abe Carver (James Reynolds)’s son next week for one episode, on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, as actor Tyler Joseph Andrews was unable to film that day. Bellow is expected to share scenes opposite Cherie Jimenez, who plays Gabi Hernandez on the soap opera.
Bellow actually filmed his appearance on Days of our Lives last December, but due to the advanced filming schedule, the episode was held off from broadcasting until now.
In addition to his appearance on Days of Our Lives, as Parade previously reported, the actor will reunite with Love Island USA Season 6 star JaNa Craig and former The Young and the Restless star Loren Lott on the upcoming microdrama vertical The Compatibility Experiment.
As previously mentioned below, Bellow starred for years on the ABC soap opera General Hospital, where he played TJ Ashford from November 2018 through February 14, 2025, when the character faded into the background of Port Charles.
TJ’s last major story saw the character navigating the loss of his daughter after the surrogate, his sister-in-law Kristina Corinthos, lost the child following an accidental fall out the window of the Metro Court Hotel. This loss impacted his relationship with Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos).

For his work on General Hospital Bellow was nominated for two Daytime Emmy awards. First in 2021 for Outstanding Younger Performer in a Drama Series, then in 2025 for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
