ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Grab the umbrella for Thursday morning as some showers move through the region. The raindrops are part of a warm front that will move to our north this afternoon. Behind the front temps will climb into the mid and upper 70s and it will feel a little muggy. Winds will gust over 20 to near 30mph later today into tonight. Skies remain mostly cloudy and mainly dry into the evening. A cold front will arrive after midnight tonight into Friday morning with some rain likely. That rain will be more substantial with amounts around half an inch Friday morning. Behind the cold front we dry out in the afternoon and evening as much cooler weather moves in with temps in the 50s and 60s later Friday afternoon and evening. Threat Tracker will be green as no heavy rain or thunder is expected.
The weekend is looking very nice. Saturday sunshine and cool, dry fall air in place. Temps will start the day near 40 and climb into the low to mid 60s. Fair weather Sunday with temps a touch milder in the upper 60s and a bit of a breeze. Weather looking good for fall festivals and the Bills game. Cold front arrives Sunday night with some clouds and a stray shower. Cool weather moves in for early next week with some chances for morning frost.
