Division I Siena College has announced Morgan Soulia as the next head coach of its women’s swimming and diving program. Soulia takes over the position previously held by Maggie Davenport who departed the program in August to join Florida Gulf Coast as an assistant coach.
“I’m incredibly excited and grateful for the opportunity to join the Siena family and lead the Swim & Dive program,” said Soulia. “Siena’s commitment to academic excellence, student athlete development, and community immediately stood out to me. I’m looking forward to building on the strong foundation of this program while creating an environment where our student athletes are challenged to grow as athletes, teammates, leaders, and people. I’m excited to build meaningful relationships with our team and the Siena community while helping our student athletes reach their full potential. I can’t wait to get on deck! #MarchOn!”
Soulia arrives after most recently spending time at Division III Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA. There she was in charge of training, recruiting, meet strategy, student-athlete development, scheduling, facility coordination, fundraising, community engagement, and NCAA compliance.
Prior to her time at Chatham, Soulia was Head Varsity and Head Middle School Coach at Chartiers Valley High School in Bridgeville, PA. She helped the program to its first section championship in school history. She also has held previous coaching positions at Pittsburgh Elite Aquatics, Hershey Aquatic Club, and the Weinstein JCC Dolphin Club.
In addition to being head coach, Soulia will serve as aquatics director. She spent her collegiate career at the University of Richmond where she swam to an Atlantic-10 title in the 200 IM. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Richmond and went on to earn a Master of Arts in Special Education from Point Park University and a Master of Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University
The Siena women finished 9th out of 12 teams at the 2026 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships. The team was named a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team for the 28th consecutive semester this past spring as they had a 3.65 GPA.
