Deneuve, 82, struck cinematic gold in the role of Geneviève Emery in Umbrellas, a musical film classic. The French film icon also made tremendous waves with her steamy role in Luis Buñuel’s 1967 psychological erotic drama, Belle de Jour. But even though those star turns were decades ago, the blonde goddess is making it clear that her style and poise go on forever. She hit the Saint Laurent fashion show as part of Paris Fashion Week at Fontaine du Trocadéro in a black latex trench coat that highlighted her famous blonde locks. Capping off the look with black pumps and pink lipstick, the beauty managed to steal plenty of attention away from the runway.

Deneuve Recovered from a 2019 Stroke
While Deneuve may look happy and healthy in the present day, she’s faced significant health struggles in recent years. She was hospitalized after suffering a stroke in 2019, her family confirmed to Agence France-Presse. Luckily, they shared that she didn’t lose any motor function, and called it a “very limited stroke which is reversible.” She’s thriving once again!

Deneuve hasn’t slowed down her legendary film career one bit in her eighties. Earlier this month, she opened up in an interview about tackling the role of “a punk fairy godmother” in Léa Domenach’s Peau d’Homme. Set in the 15th century, the film, which translates to A Man’s Skin, follows Blanche, a young woman who is given a magical “man’s skin” that allows her to discover freedoms, power, and sexuality largely denied to her as a woman, Variety wrote.
“A punk fairy godmother — first of all, that idea alone would have been enough,” Deneuve shared. “I thought the script, the characters, the situations — it was like a musical, and I really liked that. It’s very original and it’s fun.”
