ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A 20-year-old man, who Rochester Police say has been arrested four times this year, is facing new charges.
At around 10:10 p.m. Monday, police say they found Juelz Nelson sitting in the back seat of a Dodge parked on Mazda Street in front of a vacant lot. Police say they knew Nelson due to his prior arrests and bench warrants.
Police say Nelson tried to flee from them, but was safely taken into custody. While being taken into custody, police say they recovered a ghost gun loaded with six rounds from his waistband.
Nelson is charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second and third degrees, and resisting arrest. He was also served with outstanding bench warrants.
Nelson’s other arrests
As previously mentioned, police say Nelson has been arrested four other times this year, three of them involving felonies. Here are the other times he was arrested.
June 30 – Criminal contempt and harassment May 4 – Aggravated criminal contempt, assault, and unauthorized use of amotor vehicle March 26 – Criminal mischief and harassment January 30 – Menacing and endangering the welfare of a child.Nelson was brought to the Monroe County Jail and is set to be arraigned Tuesday.
