Santana is still going strong.
The legendary rock band has announced a new set of shows for 2027, extending its long-running House of Blues residency at Mandalay Bay into May. The residency, which kicked off in 2012, is stretching into its 15th year in 2027, making it Las Vegas’ longest active rock residency, according to Ultimate Classic Rock.

Dates for the 2027 lineup begin Jan. 20 and run through May 23, with eight shows scheduled in January and eight more in May. Several shows remain this year, with eight dates in November. Tickets are on sale now for the November shows, while tickets for the 2027 dates go on sale Friday, Oct. 2, at 10 a.m. PT.
“This is joy,” Santana once told Dan Rather about performing his music. “Joy is not labor or anything like that or a job. It’s more like an offering. And the more you get into it from your heart, the less you feel gravity and time and mischief or grief or anything like that. Those things disappear.”
Santana began making music professionally in the 1960s. The band emerged from the San Francisco Bay Area music scene in 1966, developing its signature fusion of rock, jazz, blues, and Latin rhythms. In 1969, Santana broke through at the Woodstock Festival, delivering a now-famous performance that included “Soul Sacrifice,” before the band’s self-titled debut album was even released.
The album introduced Santana’s first Top 10 hit, “Evil Ways,” and was followed by masterpieces including Abraxas in 1970 and Santana III in 1971, both of which reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200. “Black Magic Woman” and “Evil Ways” became two of the band’s signature songs.
In 1998, Santana was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The milestone was followed by one of music’s biggest comebacks. Santana signed with Arista Records chairman Clive Davis and released Supernatural in 1999, teaming up with younger artists including Rob Thomas and Lauryn Hill.
The album became a massive success, selling more than 15 million copies and winning eight Grammy Awards. It also produced massive hits including “Smooth” and “Maria Maria.”
Nearly six decades after Santana first emerged, the band isn’t done yet.
