California high school state finalist Addison Corso has announced her verbal commitment to swim and study at Pepperdine University beginning in the fall of 2027. She publicized the news on SwimCloud, writing:
I’m so excited to officially announce my verbal commitment to Pepperdine University to continue my academic and athletic career! I’m so grateful for everyone who has supported me throughout this journey, especially my family, friends, and everyone at Orinda Aquatics. I’m also incredibly thankful for Coach Dan and Coach Emma for believing in me and giving me this opportunity. I can’t wait to be a WAVE
A senior at Carondelet High School in Concord, California, Corso has been a member of her school’s varsity swimming team since her freshman year. She also trains year-round with Orinda Aquatics, where she primarily specializes in sprint freestyle and butterfly. She is coming off a 2025-26 season that saw her drop over three seconds in the 100 fly, nearly a second in the 100 free, and just under two tenths in the 50 free.
On the high school scene, Corso has qualified and competed at the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) State Championships as a relay swimmer the past two seasons. In 2024, she helped Carondelet to fifth in the 400 free relay and sixth in the 200 free relay before placing ninth in the 400 free relay, 13th in the 200 medley relay, and 18th in the 200 free relay this past May.
All of Corso’s current lifetime bests came from in-season competitions: she clocked 24.27 in the 50 free at the Mt. SAC HS Spring Meet of Champions – Elite Division in April, 52.15 in the 100 free at the CIF North Coast Section Championships in May, and 56.34 in the 100 fly at the OA Summer Finale in July.

50 Freestyle: 24.27 100 Freestyle: 52.15 100 Butterfly: 56.34A Division I Mid-Major program, Pepperdine competes in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF), with the women’s team placing sixth out of 10 teams in 2026. Corso’s current lifetime best in the 100 fly would have qualified for the ‘C’ final, while times of 23.70/51.93 were needed to earn second swims in the 50/100 free. With two full seasons of training to go before even lining up at her first conference meet, she is already slated to make an immediate impact.
Corso joins Jasper Jernigan, Avery Hearon, Ava Terella, and Eva Morin in committing to the Waves’ class of 2031 so far.
