The recall, for Lior Cinnamon Ground Seasoning, was issued Thursday, according to a release posted to the Food and Drug Administration’s website. Galil Importing Corp. “immediately” initiated a voluntary recall after a sample collected found high levels. The company said it was notifying customers to stop distributing the cinnamon and place any remaining inventory on hold.
The impacted cinnamon is packaged 90-gram transparent plastic containers, with the lot code GAP11304 printed on the side of the container. According to the company, the seasoning was distributed to retail and grocery stores, delis and supermarkets across New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas, Florida and Illinois between Nov. 18, 2025, and Sept. 7, 2026.
No illnesses have been reported to date, the release said. Customers who purchased the product were urged to throw it away or return it for a refund.
