ROCHESTER, N.Y. — On Saturday, just before 9 p.m., Rochester police went to Chili Avenue, in the area of Depew and Salina streets, for a dog bite call. Police say three people were bitten and have serious injuries, including a seven-month-old.
Police say a dog came up to the front yard of the home and bit a 30-year-old, 7-year-old, and 7-month-old. A bystander intervened in the unprovoked attack, stopping the dog and held it until officers arrived, the police department said.
The victims were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for serious injuries, police reported, and animal control took custody of the dog.
No one else was reported to be injured and no owner or person responsible has been found yet, according to police.
