PALMYRA, N.Y. — News10NBC has confirmed that Palmyra-Macedon has forfeited Friday’s scheduled game against Penn Yan/Dundee.
This comes after a high school football fight between Palmyra-Macedon and Clyde-Savannah. In a joint statement from both school districts, it says both are working with law enforcement and Section V officials to review the facts. The districts also said “we are better than this.”
Two students were taken to local hospitals that same night, but the districts say it was unrelated to the fight.

Clyde-Savannah plays Friday at 7 p.m. against East Rochester/Gananda. According to the Palmyra-Macedon school district’s website, the next football game is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 2, at 7 p.m. against Bloomfield/Marcus Whitman.
The district said it wouldn’t be commenting any further on the matter.
