ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Tickets are on sale now for a show that will bring a little bit of Ireland to Rochester.
“A Taste of Ireland” is coming to the West Herr Auditorium Theatre for one night only on Friday, March 5. The show features former world Irish dance champions, including performers from “Riverdance” and “Lord of the Dance.”

Irish history in Rochester
The first Irish family settled in the area in 1817. James Dowling, an Irish Catholic, purchased land with friends that is now home to the Genesee Brewery. Before the brewery, the site was a lumber mill.
Rochester’s Irish immigrants established the first Catholic churches in the area, such as St. Patrick’s and St. Mary’s.
