ROCHESTER, N.Y. – If you enjoyed Wednesday’s weather, you’ll like Thursday and Friday. Both days will see an abundance of sunshine during the day, and a clear, starlit sky at night. This will lead to cool overnight lows. Thursday morning will start off in the lower 40s, some areas south of Rochester likely in the upper 30s. This will likely be the case on Friday, as well. Both Thursday and Friday afternoons will hold in the mid to upper 60s for daytime highs. These sunny days and cool nights will start to help our fall color emerge in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, a coastal low developing will begin to strengthen and move up the coast. This future Nor’easter will bring several days of strong winds, high surf, beach erosion and rain to areas from the Mid-Atlantic into coastal New England right into the weekend. This storm will have very little impact on our weather locally, as the low remains just off the coast, and our high entrenched to our north. So our weekend will feature a slight uptick in cloud cover from that coastal storm, but we should be staying dry. There is just the slight chance of a stray shower on Sunday as the low loosens up and spreads out.
But the weather for the Bills game in Orchard Park on Sunday looks pretty good at this point. Temperatures will hold in the mid 60s. We’ll keep cooler than average temperatures into the start of next week, but we’ll begin to warm things up a bit by Tuesday and Wednesday, with temperatures back into the 70s by mid-week.
