ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Red Wings will be hosting another watch party Wednesday night for game two of the playoff series against the Memphis Redbirds.

The watch party will be at ESL Ballpark, and gate 1 will open at 7 p.m. The game will be shown on the ballpark’s video boards, and TV’s throughout the concourse. The Home Plate concession stand will be open throughout the evening.
The Red Wings are playing the entire best-of-three International League championship series in Memphis. First pitch for game two in the series is scheduled for 7:45 p.m. Wednesday.
The Red Wings won game one of the series 4-3, powered by a solo home run from Seaver King. King recorded three of Rochester’s 10 hits in the win.
Fans gathered at ESL Ballpark Tuesday night to watch the playoff game on the video boards. The game happened to be on the same day as the team’s third annual Home Run Derby, a celebration featuring local high school and college athletes.
Game three, if necessary, will take place on Thursday starting at 7:45 p.m. You can watch the games on MiLB.TV or Bally Sports Live.
If the Red Wings take the International League championship series, they’ll head to Las Vegas to play in the Triple-A National Championship Game on Saturday, Sept. 26.

This is the first time the team has clinched a playoff spot since 2013. It’s been nearly 30 years since the Wings last won the Governors’ Cup, the International League’s championship.
