The last game in the series, a Forza Motorsport reboot, was released in 2023, with the studio moving to support development of Forza Horizon 6.
Rare
Rare is reportedly moving under the Activision banner, but what this actually means for the studio is unknown.
Perhaps Xbox is eyeing up a Banjo-Kazooie reboot? For now, we don't know what the future holds for Rare.
It doesn't seem as if the studio has been massively impacted by the layoffs, to our knowledge, and Age of Empires development will seemingly continue as normal.

The Hellblade developer has since had two separate deals fall through, and Xbox is now briefing the team on their options, including potential closure.
A third Hellblade game was reportedly in the works, but the fate of that title is now up in the air.
