A left high-ankle sprain sent Cardinals third baseman Blaze Jordan to the 10-day IL on August 29, and manager Olli Marmol told reporters (including John Denton of Roundtable Sports) that the club has opted to shut Jordan down with just a week left in the season. Jordan’s rookie season will end with a .247/.276/.382 slash line and three home runs in his first 199 plate appearances in the Show, with much better numbers against lefties than righties.
