Task Season 1 premiered in September 2025, so a September 2027 release window makes the most sense.
The second season is set to cross paths with Mare of Easttown, putting the two Brad Ingelsby shows in the same universe. Julianne Nicholson will return as Lori Ross, having her work with Mark Ruffalo’s Tom Brandis as they tackle a case that may involve corrupt DEA agents.
